Our Services

Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy is more than learning how to communicate, it is about each person inside's capacity for expression and ability. These include, but are not limited to, vocal exercises, non-verbal communication tactics, and technology assisted devices to ensure that everyone gets heard and are able to communicate what they think, feel, and need.

Occupational Therapy

We personalise our support to the needs of the individual, ranging from mastering self-care routines, developing work-related skills or even engaging in community activities. Our therapists focus on skill-building and support to help residents conquer challenges and live more fully on their own terms.

Development of Life Skills

Our services range from basic hygiene and home management to high level problem-solving and decision-making skills. By fostering independence, confidence, and social integration in a highly structured environment, these programs prepare individuals to prepare for life’s stages.

Early Childhood Support

In recognising the significance of early intervention, our services are designed within a playful, nurturing environment to encourage growth, learning, and development. We promote social, cognitive, and physical development of young children so that they have the start to life that all kids deserve, ensuring that children are prepared for school.

Plan Management

We make managing NDIS plans easier. Our service is here to relieve the administrative side of managing your plan, offering you expert advice and support you need to easily manage your funding. Our priority is to provide participants and their families access to the services they need, reducing stress and the heavy admin responsibilities.

PECS / AAC Communication Specialists

Committed to empowering all people with the opportunity to communicate, we provide targeted assistance with the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. They serve as real game changers for people with limited or no speech, enabling them to interact with the world and express themselves in ways they could not before.

Children’s Respite

Our Children’s Respite service is central to the support we provide at Betsy's Special Needs Services, bringing relief, joy & developmental rewards to children with special needs and their families via a range of engaging and educational activities.

Outdoor Dining: Promotes behaviour skills and restaurant manners.
Waiting Skills: Teaches patience during mealtimes.
Fine Motor Skills: Helps in independence whilst using cutlery.
AAC for Meals: Empowers choice in meal selection.
Outdoor Activities: Increases independence with choices using AAC.

Assistance with Daily Living Activities

At Betsy's Special Needs Services, we recognise the importance of assisting individuals with activities of daily living. The service is designed to provide individualised support to promote independence and quality of life.

Personal Care: Bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
Community Access: Assistance to access the community and social and recreational activities.
Peg Feeding: Gives specialist nutritional support.
Dysphagia Management: Provides treatment for problems with eating and swallowing.
